Blindness and Deafness. Two debilitating diseases, that affect millions around the globe. Diseases that kill the potential in children and adults alike.
It doesn’t need to be so.In 80% of the cases in both diseases, medical science has the cure. Yet, it is just poverty that ensures that millions remain deprived of the beauty of sight and hearing that we take for granted. Since 1914, Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital has been at the forefront of this struggle. Each year, with the help of contributions from across the globe from individuals and organizations alike, we manage to make a difference in the lives of a few thousand, young and old . Numbers that could easily go up if we had access to more resources. We invite you to read the stories of some of the lives that we have had the honour of impacting.
